We are just beginning to adjust to the joys of having a new baby. As we were forewarned many times, one of these joys was lack of sleep. I took this picture early this morning and you can see that while Benjamin is wide awake, Steve is trying to get some sleep. You have to sneak in the sleep when you can!
Today was also a day of many other firsts. One, as you see in the picture above, was his first sponge bath. It was quite a process to get everything ready - it must have taken about an hour and a half to get all of the supplies and then give him the bath.
He did not enjoy his bath at all. However, it was fun to get him all clean for the first time since we have been home.
Next, we went to our first pediatrician appointment. The doctor said he looked great. Since he was being held in a sling by his Daddy, Benjamin had many admirers. He did look very adorable.
Finally, here Benjamin is sleeping in his pack-n-play for the first time without any consoling by us (i.e. rocking him)! We are using this as our temporary crib. This is definitely a step in the right direction.
