The votes are in! Benjamin is witnessing his first election and it is quite the historical one! Steve and I were good citizens and voted - Steve did early voting and I got to the polls at 6:00 a.m. today (pre-baby this would have been dreadfully early, but now I enjoyed my drive home as the sun was rising since I am used to being up at this time!). We decided that we should promote the importance of voting by getting a picture of Benjamin as a future voter.
On an unrelated note, I took a video today of Benjamin shaking one of his rattles. He is getting better and better at handling these objects, but he still has a bit to go before mastering his movements.
Recent Activities:
-His lovely nighttime sleep schedule (9-10 hours in a row) had been interrupted after our big trip to MN. We returned last Monday and we had a couple of rough nights where he got up sometimes every two hours. Then on Saturday and Sunday, he was out 'for the night' at 5 p.m.! I say 'for the night' because though he never had a wakeful period after 5 p.m., he kept waking up every 4 hours. THANKFULLY, last night he slept for 7 1/2 hours in a row. I know there are probably faster ways to get him back on track, but I wanted to see if he could do it on his own. We'll see how tonight goes.
