We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Italy and the students were great, but I know I was ready to go home and see Benjamin when it came to fly home last Saturday. Unfortunately, the US Airways officials in Rome did not agree to let one of my students go home. She is a Canadian citizen with a current passport, but since she only had the receipt for an application for a US Visa and not an actual Visa, they did not want to let her fly (even though before she left, her family was assured by their immigration lawyer that she could fly). I was quite overwhelmed with emotions, as by then I had already started a countdown to when I would see Benjamin again. It took two days to get things figured out and we flew home on Monday (Steve had flown home as planned on Saturday so that he could get the rest of the kids home). I got home at around 10:30 pm Monday and though I was really tempted, I didn't wake up Benjamin just so that I could say hi. He has finally settled down into sleeping from bedtime until 6 am everyday, there was no way I wanted to mess that up! I was so happy to see him once he got up at 6 am, though! He seemed a little surprised to see me, but we quickly resumed our daily routines. I decided to take Tuesday and Wednesday off of work so that I could spend time with him, but mostly because my milk supply was quickly diminishing and he is much more efficient than a pump.

Steve saying hello to Benjamin last Saturday.

On Sunday night in Ostia (near Rome), our hotel had internet access and you can see that I showed up as someone from Milan (not really close to Rome, but obviously that is where their provider must be based).

A map of Italy where I appear as someone from Milan. Benjamin's blog also gets some other random hits from around the world too.

My reunion with Benjamin.

Oh Krisanna...I'm sorry you were delayed in Italy which delayed your reunion with Benjamin. I can only imagine how hard that was. As happy as I was to be in Korea finally meeting Amelia, it was torture to be away from Graham. Yeah for being home safely with our babies!
