Happy New Year's

On the eve of the New Year (and in celebration of the end of the year that welcomed our little boy) we spent a lovely day and evening with Grandma and Grandpa Lucken. After our little guy went to bed, we played Sequence (a family tradition) until it was the New Year. Benjamin just missed being awake to welcome the New Year, having woke up at 11 p.m. (but he went back to bed before midnight).

As Benjamin had a terrible time falling asleep tonight (too excited for the new year? actually, though, he kind of had a rough time for most of our time in MN - I attribute it to not being in his crib and CONSTANTLY flipping onto his tummy and not wanting to be on his tummy), we decided to give him his first Baby Einstein experience on the portable DVD player we brought for the car. He LOVED it. He got very excited while watching it, with lots of cooing and squealing.
